Huge thanks to everyone who came to our 6th Annual Charity Endurance Gokarting race at Lydd Circuit today. Perfect day for racing on a great new circuit. Combined with our 100 mile cycle ride, its the most we have ever raised in a year at over £1,600 for Sebastian’s Action Trust

The Charity Dudes hosted their 5th annual 2 hour Charity Endurance Gokarting Race on Saturday 5th September 2015. This was our biggest event to date with 14 teams and we raised a record £1236.14 for The Heart of Kent Hospice.
We filmed the day and the highlight video is below:

The Charity Dudes were originally formed to complete adventurous challenges to raise as much money for charities that meant something to us but little did we think when we set out on these fun raising activities we would be raising money in aid of a charity for someone so close to us.

Mel’s Story

Matt’s wife Mel, over the last 8 years has undergone surgery twice, a hydrocephalus brain shunt  and a bone fusion for a Chiari Malformation,  all due to complications with her brittle bones disease but  6 years ago she also underwent treatment for Grade 4 Breast Cancer and now  sadly she has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour

Already the Heart of Kent Hospice have been fantastic offering physical support in the home to help with Mel’s mobility and giving them emotional support for their family to help them come to terms with this devastating news especially offering guidance in  helping their young eight year old  daughter Izabella through this difficult time.

So this year, The Charity Dudes Annual Go Cart race will be in aid of The Heart of Kent Hospice so please come along and support the event and have a great day out you will be helping make a big difference.

The Charity Dudes took part in the Major Series Mud Run on Saturday March 29th. They were part of the Ruby Renegades team led by Captain Glenn Thompson. A beautiful day for running and a great assault course meant all the participants had a fantastic day and raised a few hundred pounds for The Ruby Thomson Appeal www.justgiving.com/ruby-thompson

Our first event of 2014 will be a assault course run in Tunbridge Wells.

Fundraising so far has been fun but not sure the next one will be. Ten of us are doing a 12K assault course run on 29th March with electrical shocks, jumping in ice baths, smelly mud trenches, getting shot at with paintball guns, jumping through tyres & climbing slippery hills. All will be so worth it if we can keep funding the treatment for the beautiful and courageous little Ruby Thompson.  If you can, please sponsor now at http://www.justgiving.com/ruby-thompson . Please use reference Major Series Run and leave your name. Thank you as always.

Hight-street-6-jul-2013

We raised £233.71 on the High Street of Tenterden in Kent on July 6th 2013 by dressing up as a family of Spiderman. Great laugh and couldn’t believe the generosity of shoppers

We were raising money for my Niece Ruby who requires cancer treatment in Germany

We are back for our third year of Gokarting at Lydd race Track. The event has grown each year with more people and more funds raised and this year will be no exception.

Every day, 10 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer.

Treatment normally starts immediately, is often given many miles from home and can last for up to three years. Being diagnosed with cancer is a frightening experience and the emotional, practical and financial implications of treatment are intensely challenging for the whole family.
